Hajj Stampede: Emir Of Zang, Chief Imam Of Sokoto Among Dead Victims

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has said that Sheikh Liman Dan-Ata, the Chief Imam of the Sultan Abubakar III Jumaa’at Mosque, Sokoto, is among those killed in the stampede in Mina, Saudi Arabia, thus increasing its death toll to 10.

The Media Assistant to the agency, Alhaji Farouk Umar, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

Also,Emir of Zing, Alhaji Abbas Sambo, who led the Taraba State delegation to the 2015 annual hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, has been confirmed killed in Thursday’s stampede that killed over 717 people.
