A report by The Nation has revealed how some prominent Nigerians luckily escaped death in the Hajj Stampede of last week that has reportedly killed over 767 pilgrims. The Nigerians include:
- Immediate past National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)Mallam Adamu Mu’Azu
- Former Special Adviser on National Assembly, Alhaji Kashim Imam
- Former National Chairman of the defunct CPC,Senator Rufai Hanga
- PDP Youth Leader, Abdullahi Maibarisa
- Deputy Comptroller General (Operations) of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Mr.Muhammad Babandede
- Former member of the House of Representatives.
