AIG Tinji Alapini’s son Demola weds in Ijebu-Ode

On Saturday, 12th of September 2015, all roads led to Ijebu Ode in Ogun State when former Police AIG (rtd), Tunji Alapini’s son, Ademola Anthony Alapini tied the knot with his Jewel, Oluwatomilola Omotoyosi Awonuga who is also from a popular family in Ijebu. The church service was held at Mount Jieawowrrar All Saint’s Church of Christ, Ijebu Ode, where the brides father was the Minister in Charge of the Church. The reception was held at The Prime Hall Centre, Molipa Road, Ijebu. The event was well attended by top dignitaries in and outside the state. Former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Musiliu Smith chaired the wedding. Two former governors, Ogun first lady Mrs Olufunso Amosun and other top politicians graced the event. OGUN FIRST LADY CAME EARLY

Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun was at the event. She came early for the church service with some of the commissioners wives, Mrs Olufunke Oladipo, Mrs Oluwatoyin Odeyemi, Mrs Bose Adeyemi and the Director of The Office Of The First Lady, Lydia Fajom. The pretty 1st lady was looking charming as ever in her gold and black french lace with accessories to match.

JIMI AGBAJE TOO

Lagos People’s Democratic Party Governorship candidate Jimi Agbaje also came early for the church service, although he did not stay for the wedding reception but he waited till the end of the church service before taking his leave.

WHAT THE STYLISH PARENTS Wore

Both the Groom and the Bride parents are very fashionable. And it was obvious they are also good with colour combination at the event. The mother’s were dressed in a peach colour french lace with studded head gear with bougous accessories, while the fathers wore brown colour guinea brocade with coral beads, which made them look like a high chief.

THE PRINCESS LIKE WEDDING DRESS

According to the bride she has always wanted a Princess like wedding dress. Even before she got engaged she always talked about how she wanted to be dressed like a princess on her wedding day which she got in the end. The wedding dress was made by Bride and Mom, her off white puffed beaded princess dress was breath taking when she stepped into the church with her dad, her bridal hair was perfectly made with a beautiful tiara which added beauty to the hair, her earing dazzles under the veil with the perfect finished make up. The bridal train also looked beautiful in their fucial pink long dresses beaded at the upper part, the groom and groom men were in a navy blue suits.

PRIMATE ADEMOSU’S SERMON

His Eminence, Baba Aladura PRO. Dr S B Ademosu is the Primate/General Overseer and Founder of Mount Jieawowrrar All Saint’s Church of Christ, where the solemnization of the holy matimony was held. The brides father, Bishop Engr. O O Awonuga JP, is the Misnister in Charge of the church. Baba Aladura is also close to the Awonuga family, his wedding sermon was well delivered as he didn’t shy away from the reality of what makes a marriage works, he advice the couples not to stop being romantic as they were even after many years, it was a moment of truth as he added spice to his sermon and he was given a standing oviation after he left the pupit.

WITH LOVE FROM OSUN STATE

Former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola came. He was among dignitaries who came to show love to the Alapini family and also came early for the church service.

AMBODE SENT REPRESENTATIVE

Lagos Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode could not make the wedding, but he sent Mrs Dapo Thomas from Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to represent him.

FMB CAME

Nigeria former Ambassador to Gambia, Folake Marcus Bello, popularly known as FMB was also at the church service looking good as usual too.

OTUNBA OJORA CAME WITH WIFE

Lagos businessman, Otunba Kunle Ojora came with his wife Erelu Ojora. They were both seated at the front roll in the church.

MOTHER’S UNION WELCOME BRIDE

The Mother’s Union of Mouth Jieawowrrar, led by Mrs Enigbokan, the mother in Isreal welcomed the new bride to their midst as part of the tradition of the church. The bride was presented with a bible as she danced around in the midst.

OGD AND WIFE NOT LEFT OUT

Former Ogun Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and his wife Yeye Olufunke were not left out. Though they didn’t come for the church service they arrived early for the reception. Yeye was looking flamboyant as ever in red and gold attire with bougous accessories, they spent quality time before taking their leave.

SALMOT BADRU TOO

Former Ogun Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salmot Badru also graced the event. She came early for the reception and was seated on OGD’s table alongside Lekan Tejuosho.

ABOUT THE ALL WHITE CAKE

The wedding cake stood out with the simplicity and creative design. It was a 4 step all white cake, flanked with white roses and feathers with a big white boy tie sugar craft, it was a sight to behold.

BISOYE FAGADE TOOK CHARGE

Bisoye Fagade is a lagos big boy and one of the A class event planner in Nigeria today, he is the brain behind Coca Cola share a coke with a name project. He was in charge of the whole event which was a stress inch free event as he was on ground to ensure everything went well.

IBADAN POLO CLUB FULLY REPRESENTED

The Ibadan Polo club members were fully on ground at the wedding. The club members were led by the President Eng. Prince Adeoye Ajibade and they all enjoyed themselves as they engaged in a chit chat all through.

OGUN COMMISIONER FOR POLICE AND PRO CAME

The new Ogun Commissioner of Police, Majid Alli was at the event, along side the soon to be king police PRO, Prince Muyiwa Adejobi.

YEMI SODIMU, KOFFI, ALLI BABA AND TOMIWA SAGE ON THE MICROPHONE

Apart from the fact that the event was a star studded wedding, it was also anchored by top comedians. Popular actor and former Commissioner Yemi Sodimu kicked start the event opening, Koffi also anchored, king of comedy Alli Baba was not left out, while Tomiwa Sage also was on the microphone, it was a rib cracking combination of all.

AND THE BRIDE’S MOTHER CAN DANCE

One need not to be told that the brides mother, Mrs Awonuga is a white garment church member as she danced to the little sounds in the church, she is a popular politician and also a strong elder at the Mount Jieawowrrar church where his husband is the Minister in Charge, she was in a dancing and joyous mood all through the event.

FORMER I G CHAIRED THE EVENT

Former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Musiliu Smith was the chairman of the occasion. After giving words of advice to the couples which he does every time as chairman of a wedding, he also officiates the cutting of the cake too.

YINKA AYEFELE ON BAND STAND

Popular musician Yinka Ayefele was on the band stand as usual he kept everyone on their foot with his favourite anthem which the guest love.

DEEJAY BAGGIO ON THE WHEELS

Another part of the wedding reception which can not be forgotten so soon is the arrival and entry of the couples and their train into the wedding reception which was fun with Deejay Baggio who was on the wheels of steels. It was from one wedding song to the other while guest sing and danced along, the newly wedded also enjoyed the tunes coming from the dj. The couples dances was also very romantic with the evergreen love songs coming from Deejay Baggio wheels.

THE BRIDE AND FATHER GROOM AND MOTHER DANCE.

The dancing time extended to the parents too. The bride and her dad did a wonderful choreography which was obvious father and daughter have been practising, while the grooms mother and the groom took to their heels with Wizkid’s Omo Jaiye Jaiye hit track which was a fun and memorable moments.

MOSUN FILANI AND HUSBAND CAME

Popular Yoruba actress Mosun Filani who has gone of the scene to start a family was at the event wit her husband, she was looking very beautiful in her wine colour french lace, with her dazzling crystal accessories.

WHO DID WHAT?

The event centre was decotated by La Tush, and the outfit also did the major catering at the event, Sollizzy Ventures Serves cold drinks, other caterers who severed finger licking delicacies were Kalous Catering, Heem’s Caterers, Demoks Catering Services, while the beautiful ushers in yellow dreses were supplied by Bradolf Delectable Usherettes all the way from Abeokuta.

THEIR LOVE STORY

Ademola Anthony Alapini saw Oluwatomilayo Omotoyosi’s pictures on her cousins display picture who happens to be his friend and  on his BlackBerry messengers list. He told him he liked what he saw and wanted to meet her. Ademola is known to be a go getter. He never starts anything he is not saure of finishing or not interested in. So he knew what he wanted. When he finally met Omotoyosi in 2011, they started as friends and he proposed to her on her birthday, a suprise dinner was planned for her at a popular Chinese restaurant in lagos, according to the bride, she knew he was the man for him from the very first day they met. The bride works with Lagos State Internal Revenue, while the groom works with the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Cooporation NDIC.

ABOUT THE GROOM

The groom Ademola Anthony Alapini is the 2nd son of AIG Alapini. His elder brother Tunji got married last year and the 3rd boy is Bankole who is also warming up.
